Finally had a weekend warm enough to throw open the garage doors and blow off some stink. Though, of course, to blow off all of the stink would take a little more than a weekend and a slight breeze.
When I tore down the engine that would become the 4.6 stroker, I figured I would still have my Cherokee for reference for the engine accessories and brackets (the Haynes manual I have for the Cherokee is about worthless in this regard and no stores around here carry the Chilton’s). But of course I sold the Cherokee, so now I have to wing it on the exact placement of the accessories, and went to mock them up over the weekend. Fortunately, they’re all fairly self-explanatory, including the new power steering pump’s bracket.

As you’ll remember, I decided to switch to a later (99+) Grand Cherokee intake manifold. Only problem is that manifold requires a different power steering pump and bracket.

Completely different bolt pattern, as you can see. Fortunately, junkyards around here have plenty of late-model wrecked Grand Cherokees thanks to morons who think their four-wheel drive will get them through anything in the winter. So after blasting and cleaning, everything’ll be ready to bolt back on to the engine.

And for those following the fuel line saga, I got them fully fitted and painted. Just waiting on hose fittings and they’ll be ready to install in the car.
