Found this terrific Chevrolet promotional film about the 1960 Corvair on YouTube. It’s a 6-minute-plus answer to the musical question, “Is the Corvair the new compact that can deliver the goods?”
They drove it along a river bank, at Lime Rock Park, and across a fair amount of the unpaved part of the U.S., and topped it all off by deliberately rolling the car.
Ah, for the carefree days of 1959, when an automaker could get the word “rollover” past the boys in Legal.
